What We Do
Club activities involve hosting a speciality speaker at every meeting, exchange of horticultural knowledge, beautification of your home and yard, encouraging friendships among plant lovers, community improvements and conservation.
Annual Fall Plant Sale - Fundraiser (November 9, 2024 at 16301 Racetrack Road, Odessa)
Every year around October or November, the Fern Garden Club has a well-attended, public annual plant sale with a huge variety of indoor and outdoor plants for purchase. Fresh baked goods by our members and white elephant garden items and home decor items are also part of our sale. Check out the Plant Sale for updates on date and location.
Community
Based in Odessa, Florida, our monthly meetings serve Hillsborough, Pasco and Pinellas counties with informative presentations from master gardeners, cooperative extension officers and community experts. Topics range from current garden trends, speciality plants, edible landscaping, birds, butterflies, backyard wildlife to composting.
Field trips to nearby gardens are also a part of our member activities.
Scholarships and Charity
Every year the Fern Garden Club Board of Directors provides a scholarship to a student interested in horticulture. The Board also identifies several local charities and contributes annually.
